Need to Know

Lodges

  • Our lodges are open all year round including Christmas.
  • Arrival is from 16.00 onwards with check out by 10.00am the latest on your day of departure.
  • Children are welcome and each lodge has a highchair and travel cot (linen not provided).
  • Henning and Rawlsbury lodge offer 2 bedrooms, 1 king size, 1 twin with zip and link beds which can be made into a double on request. 
  • Melbury Lodge has 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles with king size beds, 1 twin bedroom with zip and link beds which can be made into a king size on request
  • WiFi is included but due to our rural location it may be patchy at times.
  • Each lodge has its own private hot tub.  The water is drained and refilled for each guest therefore the water temperature may not be at its optimum on the day of your arrival.  Please practice safe use of the hot tub (advice can be found within your welcome pack). Hot tubs are used entirely at the guests own risk. Brewery Farm accepts no liability for accidents or injury.
  • Wood burning stove – we offer your first lot of logs free, additional logs can be purchased from Brewery Farm.
  • Towels and bed linen are included (except for cot beds), however you may wish to bring additional towels to use for the hot tub. 
  • BBQ – Please ensure on departure the BBQ is cleaned and left as found.
  • There is ample parking available for each lodge.
  • The lodges are approached via steps from the car park area.
  • Grocery deliveries are welcome, however they are the guest’s responsibility, and delivery times must be arranged for when you will be at the lodge.  Please ensure deliveries are not during unsociable hours that may disturb other guests.  
  • The Fox Inn is within walking distance, along the same route you take in a car. We request that you do not walk through the farm yard due to machinery and animals for your own safety.
  • To preserve our beautiful non-light polluted skies we do not have lighting on the farm, so please do remember to pack a torch!
  • Dogs are welcome in Henning and Rawslbury Lodges (please see T&C’s for further information), there is an outdoor tap for washing muddy boots and paws, however please provide your own towel for your dog. 
  • A real advantage from our beautiful location is the many excellent walks, be sure to call into reception to buy The Ansty Ambler walking book for a £2 donation to charity. The Ansty Ambler was created by the Brewery Farm team during lockdown.
  • Our reception is manned most days, please visit us should you require any assistance, need advice on the area, suggestions on where to visit, or to know the best pub for Sunday lunch!! 

Campsite

  • We are open all year round, weather permitting.
  • No awnings or gazebos allowed between October and April.
  • Well behaved dogs are welcome, however as we are a working farm with livestock please make sure dogs are on a lead and kept under control at all times. Please ensure you clean up any mess and dispose of it appropriately.
  • Arrival is from after 12.30 and departure is before 11am, although you are welcome to park up on our farm to enjoy the rest of your day or fill up before your journey home with a pub lunch!
  • Guests are not allocated a pitch upon booking, but may choose on arrival, do please respect any existing campers. 
  • Our pitches are not fully serviced but electric hook up, water & drainage etc. is within very close reach.
  • We allow BBQ’s and fire pits but they must be raised off of the ground, fire pits can be hired and logs are available to purchase.

General

  • Brewery Farm shop and post office is on site for everyday basics (opening hours provided in the welcome pack). 
  • Supermarkets can be found in the nearby towns of Blandford, Dorchester and Sturminster Newton, (approx. 10 miles from Brewery Farm). 
  • Due to our countryside setting there is limited mobile phone reception for some network providers.

The most gorgeous view to wake up to even though it was raining. Facilities are really clean, lovely farm shop on site with everything you need and the pub over the road (The Fox Inn) was very warm and friendly, will definitely be going back here!
